We here at Spyrja want to make sure we’re a good fit for your child. It all starts here.
- You’ve found us on the internet or heard about us through word of mouth, and you’re interested in what Spyrja Academy is, or even how to pronounce it. (Spear-ya)
- Navigate over to our appointments or find us on Facebook to schedule a time to chat with our Founder and Director Jourdan Simmang. You’re also welcome to shoot him an email or call and leave a message. Jourdan teaches during the day, so he’ll certainly get back to you in the afternoon.
- During your phone call or visit, feel free to ask any questions you may have. The goal of our chat is to identify how Spyrja can best assist your child in his or her learning journey. Come prepared with information about your child, such as strengths and struggles, diagnoses, learning history, interests, etc.
- After our initial chat, we’ll schedule a time to introduce your child to Jourdan. If you’d like to bring your child in for the initial visit, please feel free to do so! Jourdan will ask your child's opinions about his or her hopes for school, aspirations, learning style, overall perception of school, etc. Not only do we want to make sure our school is a good fit for your child, but that your child is a good fit for our school. We wish we could accept everyone, truly, but we understand that our instructional style doesn’t suit every kid, and we want to be certain your child will be successful.
- If you'd like, after our initial meetings we can schedule a shadow day for your child.
- From there, you’ll make a decision as to whether or not your child will become a Spyrja Valkyrie. It’s okay for you to choose a different school! Our sincere hope is that you find the right fit. We would, however, love to have you all join us as Spyrja Family.
- Since we are a year-round school, we enroll at any point. We can discuss at this point whether you would like your child to start immediately or when the next 9 weeks begins. The Spyrja Link (2 Day Program) students can also enroll at any point but start dates must be at the 9 week mark due to the nature of the program.
- If this sounds like a good fit for you and your family, please fill out enrollment forms here. An invoice for registration and resource fees will be sent out once forms are received.
