"As an example, he says that when students are reading Moby Dick, you can talk about maritime law, ocean ecology, and how to calculate wind speed in knots and nautical miles. “A lot of what I do at Spyrja is helping the kids make those connections cross-curricular and really dive into—no pun intended—but dive into the intricacies of education, their own knowledge base,” he explains."
Howdy, neighbors. This year has been exciting, and I am so thankful for those of you who have reached out for conversation. Spyrja Academy is looking to enroll our next round of learners for 2025-2026. This truly is a testament to the devotion you have to your child's academic and social success.
Spyrja Academy wants to be a part of that discovery. Reach out today to schedule a chat with Founder and teacher Jourdan Simmang. He's happy to help you figure out the best possible avenue for your child's academic journey.
"Jourdan Simmang, director of Spyrja Academy, a micro high school in New Braunfels, Texas, holds class in a co-working space, where his students are constantly interacting with auto repair shops, cowboy hat makers, and welders. Since opening last year, the school has expanded from two students to an expected 13 this fall."
